Volodymyr Zelenskyi visited the hospital in Khmelnytskyi, where specialized assistance is provided to servicemen of the Defense Forces.

The head of state was told that since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, about eight thousand Ukrainian defenders have been assisted in this institution. In particular, comprehensive wound treatment using devices that halve treatment time, minimally traumatic removal of fragments, and methods that speed up wound healing and preserve limb functions have been introduced.

Volodymyr Zelenskyi visited the wounded servicemen, inquired about their health and treatment conditions.

The President awarded orders "For Courage" of the III degree and medals "For Military Service to Ukraine" to servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the State Border Guard Service who were wounded in the east, in particular during the defense of Avdiyivka, Maryinka and Chasovoy Yar, in the Bakhmut region.

"Thank you for everything you do for our country. It is a pleasure to be here and to reward you. Thank you for protecting Ukraine. Get well and come home. I wish all of you and all of us victory," the Head of State said.

Volodymyr Zelenskyi also awarded military medics with medals "For Saved Lives".

"First of all, I wish you all, your family and friends good health. You bring our soldiers back to life. I want to thank you for your daily conscientious work. We highly appreciate it," he said.
